Here They Come...

This photo was taken from near the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge.
First photo from the GGB...


Satisfied that I had enough pictures from off the bridge, I hurried with my bike to get onto the bridge
and get a different angle for my next few photos.

These cranes, said to be the largest of their kind, were built in China and shipped across the Pacific
so that they could be installed at the Port of Oakland.  I've seen many similar cranes over many years, but never any quite this size.  And, oddly enough, I'd never seen one from quite as close as they came while we spectators stood on the bridge as the ship passed beneath us.

There was something interesting at the top of the third crane.  You'll see what it was...later.
