This
photo was taken from near the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge.
First
photo from the GGB...
Satisfied that I
had enough pictures from off the bridge, I hurried with my bike to get
onto the bridge
and get a different
angle for my next few photos.
These cranes, said
to be the largest of their kind, were built in China and shipped
across the Pacific
so that they could
be installed at the Port of Oakland. I've seen many similar
cranes over many years, but never any quite this size. And, oddly
enough, I'd never seen one from quite as close as they came while we spectators
stood on the bridge as the ship passed beneath us.
There was something interesting at the top of the third crane. You'll see what it was...later.
